Phenakistoskop

Je rok 2017, studenti koukají na nahraná videa, youtube, triky z digitální technologie. Jenže někdo musel stát úplně na začátku animace. 

Joseph Plateau v 1841 vynalezl optickou hračku phenakistoskope. Rotující disk připojený kolmo k rukověti. Na disku je nakreslena série po sobě jdoucích obrázků, mezi nimi průhledné výřezy. Disk roztočíme a přes štěrbiny se díváme na jeden bod v zrcadle. Obrázky se nám spojí do plynulé animace. 

Ale musíte se naučit dívat. Chvíli to trvá. Ne všichni výtvarníci se do tvorby pustili, přece jen, tohle chtělo představitost a přesnost, vymyslet a z realizovat co nejednoduší obrázek, aby byl v optickém klamu přesvědčivý.

Joseph Plateau in 1841 invented optical toy phenakistoskope. Spinning disc  attached vertically to a handle. Around the disc is a series of consecutive pictures, among them transparent cutouts. Spinning the disc and look through the moving slits and we are look throuhg it at one point in the mirror. Images us to combine smooth animation.

But you have to learn to look. It takes a while. Not all artists are released into the formation, after all, that wanted imagination and accuracy, devise and implement what of the easiest figure to be in optical illusions convincing.
